Not very much to report. We're already busy with a long list of shows deep into 2002. One of them will be a record release show. If you're looking for an advance preview CD-R, there seems to be copies being made all over the place, so just leech off the rest of them.

Go to the Prodigal Son tomorrow, and go the Fireside on the 23rd of December. Yes, I know the big James Taylor show is the same night. We all know. Let's all make some rational decisions before we leave the house that night.

So, a majority of the new pages to the site are finally up. The PHOTOS and DOWNLOAD sections still need to be filled out, and the DISCOGRAPHY will become much more extensive, but we now have a complete history of SHOWS, a CONTACT section, and everyone's favorite spot, LINKS.

Most importantly, our new CD is slated to come out early next year, courtesy of He Who Corrupts Records and Sinister Label. Equally important is the show we're playing with THE ARRIVALS in two weeks.

Remember, everyone, skulls are supposed to be tough. WHY DON'T YOU THINK ABOUT IT??

Don't forget to check out the show this Sunday, September 16th. The most current show information is always listed at the right.

There is a new Mexican Cheerleader recording of 10 songs that will be finished by the first half of October, and will be available before the end of the year. The current working title is "Gentle Bandejo". Isn't that cute.

Website enhancements and additions will be coming as soon as possible! For the few of you who criticize the lack of updates to this site, I urge you to quit your jobs as well as your extra curricular activities, and come work for us full-time for free.

Here is all the information on tomorrow's show:
FRIDAY, MAY 25TH 2001
MEXICAN CHEERLEADER
THEM WRANCH (Columbus, OH)
@ Fireside Bowl
2646 W. Fullerton, Chicago, IL
10:00 P.M. $6.00

Be on time to see Them Wranch, and stay around for us.

Also:

* After a recent successful experiment to get the band name displayed on the Wrigley Field scoreboard, Mexican Cheerleader will organize an official band night later this summer. If enough people buy in on tickets, I can qualify to throw out the first pitch.

* For anyone who cares, the 'junk e-mail' we thought was happening with our Yahoo! Group is not happening at all. The previous group provider was sending out the spam, but since Yahoo! took it over, all that seems to have stopped. So, join the mailing list without fear at www.mexicancheerleader.com, right at the bottom of the page.

Until tomorrow,

Welcome to the official Mexican Cheerleader website, which launched into action today at midnight! All the pertinent information is here right now: news updates and a schedule of upcoming shows. Keep visiting this site from time to time, as more features will be added as the days go on, such as a download area for new songs, official photo gallery, links, and the like. Please note that this site was created without a message board or guest book on purpose, so if you were looking to waste some space with inane writing, do it somewhere else.

It should also be noted that, very soon, the E-mailing list for Mexican Cheerleader will be completely removed from Yahoo! Groups, and will be managed independently by the local staff (read:me). No more junk mail on account of the list; sorry about that ever happening. Most messages will be posted in our main page news area, just like the old list was. Plus, you will able to sign up via our website, instead of having to register extra information. If you or someone you know has signed up for the list and hasn't been receiving anything, send us the E-mail address and everything will be taken care of.

All E-mails should be directed to mexicancheerleader@juno.com until further notice.

The big show of bruised egos is tonight at DePaul University! Go.

Enjoy,
Pete Royal
