After a long bout with Thanksgiving Day posturing, tune into WLUW 88.7 FM and hear Mexican Cheerleader do an absolutely live set on the Radio Free Chicago show, complete with interview, new songs, and glaring mistakes. It should start around 7:00 P.M., this Thursday, November 27th.

Due to circumstances beyond our control, we will *not* be playing the November 28th show at Metro. It's still a worthy cause to attend and help out WLUW, but don't come there expecting us to play, that's all. The show should be pretty good.

Three new MP3's are in the DOWNLOADS section. They are from an upcoming full-length that should be out before the end of the year. Enjoy!

Like the Loch Ness monster, we surface again! We are officially debuting our new guitarist (even though most people know who it is already) at the Masher's CD release party at The Lyon's Den on the 10th. Come early. Two more all-ages shows will be posted in the coming weeks.

We have completely finished recording our new album. Once I get my hands on a copy of the final studio mixes, which should be sometime this week, I will post some MP3's for general use. Also, with stacks of film and CD-R's from almost a year's worth of shows, I hope to give the PHOTOS section a very healthy update sometime before, oh, the end of the year.

It's good to be back, but we really never left.

We have a new guitarist.

Thanks to everyone who came out on Sunday. Little did anyone know (except for the band and a few close associates) that last night was the 21st Century Mascara Snake's final show with us! It was a rather amicable parting, and we knew about it being her last show for about two weeks. Now, we move on to the task of finding a new Mexican Cheerleader guitarist. We are already working with a short list of people who we think can put up with us, and hopefully we will be able to announce a name soon.

After some months, we have another show scheduled, this time at The Bottom Lounge with Nashville's Teen Idols. It's an "18 and over" show, and tickets may be available in advance over the internet at www.tickets.com, and certainly are available at The Record Exchange on 925 W. Belmont in Chicago, if you don't want to pay a service charge.

Here's one of the main reasons we have not played live recently: tucked away in a studio somewhere in Denver is over a dozen new songs, all in various states of completion, most of them going towards a new full-length that should come out sometime before the end of the year. How about that?

We would like to extend a huge "thank you" to Sidecar and all the people that showed up in Cleveland on Saturday. Everyone was great, really. Next time we come through town, I promise not to lose my voice.

Given the choice to post photos or demo new songs, I have chosen to demo new songs. If you're really hard up for photos, bring a camera to our Fireside show in May.

After perusing many other band websites earlier today, I am so glad that we don't have a guestbook, or a message board, as it keeps our overall IQ from dipping into double-digit levels.

I hoped to update the news section more often, but let's face it, there's not that much news! The most up-to-date shows are always listed to the right, and beyond that, I'd rather not bug people and send out a news flash every time one of us uses a public bathroom, like many other band sites seem to do. I will try to update the news section at least once a month.

We are hoping to record a second full-length in the summer. We have no idea when any of our other splits or compilation tracks will come out. As soon as we get them, we'll finally have news to post!

There might be some photo updates soon. Maybe not.

Thanks to everyone who started the new year by attending yesterday's show.

The split 7-inch should be out in early 2003, along with a 7-inch comp and a CD comp. That's three releases, not including the new full-length CD we're working on that should be finished by fall of this year. There's already two more shows booked for this month.

The E-mail list is still the easiest way to find out what's going on. Messages are sent as soon as we get news, and right before shows. So join up now (or re-up if you or someone you know has been "bounced off" with an old address).
